A New Direction: Wallcovering, Murals, Graphics

Steve McCloud, president, will push his company, U.S. Vinyl Manufacturing, a staple with brand programs for major hotels, out of U.S. Vinyls comfort zone with a new creative direction. Now the company will be known as USV Wallcovering Murals Graphics.

“The new design studio at USV will be the best design at the best price for hotels worldwide,” said McCloud. We decided to make a major investment in digital and new patterns to expand our offering while still creating products in the U.S.A.”

In addition to the introduction  of its Art Everywhere program, USV will introduce new wallcovering patterns and colors in a move to creatively grow its running line of products.

A Culture of Inspiration

Expanding into a new office in The Goat Farm Art Center in Atlanta, USV will open a creative space for its Á Parti Pris Design Studio where U.S. Vinyl will work with wallcovering designers and artists to develop these collections. This office  is  the  first  outside  of  the  companyLafayette, Georgia, headquarters (some 123 miles away), giving the new division focused on imagination a place of its own.

The raw spaces of The Goat Farm Art Center in Atlanta serve as the perfect spot for a new studio where design can flourish for USV. The Farm, built by two young men out of what was a former cotton gin manufacturing plant, is organic, intriguing and at the cusp of pushing Atlantas cultural scene forward.

The 12-acre plot of land, located near a blossoming design district, hosts more than

360 artists of all kinds. Its impetus is to give the creative community a home to practice their   craft.   From   start-up   magazines   to fashion brands, the property serves as the ultimate arts destination, noted city-wide as an on-the-rise creative space.

Á Parti Pris Design Studio has planned the first steps for USVs new direction. Patterns are in development and the first artists chosen to contribute works to the new studios Art Everywhere program  are now collaborating on inspired works that marry art and design.
